A transport pass and an attraction card solve different trips. Work out the hotel arrival and the paid visits you will actually use, then compare the full family cost. The card’s active hours, selected child cards and transport boundary matter more than a headline saving.

Choose the train or metro for the exact hotel

The airport directs passengers to Terminal Three for rail and metro. Current train tracks and departure screens determine the actual platform; additional tracks are across Ellehammersvej. Buy a valid ticket before boarding, since the train does not sell tickets onboard. Add the last walk or connection to the selected hotel rather than treating a quoted rail time as door-to-door travel.

Compare the card with the visits you will actually make

DISCOVER offers eligible attractions and public transport in the Capital Region. A City Pass is transport-only: Small covers the central and airport zones, while Large covers the wider Capital Region. Compare the actual ticket totals and opening hours for your party. A mostly walking trip does not automatically justify an attraction card.

Redeem the card before using it and time activation

The reviewed DISCOVER product requires redemption and activation in the Copenhagen Card City Guide app. The GetYourGuide voucher itself does not admit you to attractions. Validity runs in consecutive hours, with one visit per eligible attraction; it must remain active for the whole transport journey. Check the actual child cards and ages in the same order.

Keep the coverage boundary clear

HOP uses sightseeing buses and does not include public airport transport. DISCOVER does not extend to Malmö and does not include Tivoli rides. Check the included canal format before buying a second ticket, and plan out-of-region transport separately. Confirm current reservations and operating dates for every planned attraction.

Questions travelers ask before booking

Does Tivoli Christmas admission include the rides?

The reviewed seasonal entry ticket does not include a ride pass. The separate entry-and-ride-pass product includes both for the selected date. Compare actual height and age restrictions, operating hours and extras before buying for the whole family.

Does Copenhagen Card DISCOVER cover Malmö or Tivoli rides?

No. DISCOVER includes eligible attraction admission and public transport in the Capital Region while active; Malmö is outside its coverage, and Tivoli rides are extra. HOP has a different transport scope and does not cover public airport transport.

Should I buy a separate canal ticket with a city card?

First check whether your active card already includes the exact eligible canal trip, departure point and reservation procedure. A separately sold cruise may have a different berth, boat or duration. Avoid paying twice for the same covered outing.
